Solar Source Institute received Licensure by the Florida Department of Education
On July 27, 2009, the FL Dept. of Education’s Commission for Independent Education (CIE) voted unanimously to approve Solar Source Institute as the State’s first stand-alone solar renewable training school.

About SSI
Solar Source Institute is an educational facility located in Largo, Florida. Founded in 2007, the mission is to educate and train architects, engineers, builders-developers, electrical and solar contractors, and ultimately all other contractors that touch the solar industry. We cover everything from sales and marketing to grid tied installation with battery back-up. With hundreds of participants attending our class to date, the feedback is positive and upcoming class schedules are eagerly anticipated.

Our mission is to promote viable living through environmental education. Solar Source Institute provides hands-on workshops on renewable energy, green building, sustainable living, and alternative environmental construction methods.
